I had a great time at all of the Scottsdale Fashion Week events and loved meeting so many lovely people who work in the fashion industry. The runway shows were all great, but my favorite was Amy,Inc., a high-end local boutique. The show featured pieces from Derek Lam, Mara Hoffman, Marissa Webb, and others. This show was another example of the "see now buy now" model that is becoming more and more common at fashion shows.
My look for Scottsdale Fashion Week was an easy choice, given my current obsession with high low dresses. This beauty has a lovely and unique gold chain halter neck and a super low, sexy back. The dress is available in black, peach and jade green. I snagged it from Gilt for a steal (under a $100)! I dressed it down with gold gladiator sandals for the daytime event at the W Hotel in Scottsdale and then dressed it up for the evening event and shows with nude patent Stuart Weitzman stiletto sandals. I love how long the back of this dress is. I'm 5'11" and the back of the dress was still touching the ground while I was wearing 4" heels. On anyone not as tall as me, you would have a little bit of a train behind you as you walk, which would be so elegant!
